The Special Day!

Here are some shots from our special day Saturday. I also have a slide show posted below so you can see more events of the day. Jacob had many family and friends present. It is obvious he is loved. We are so proud of his decision to join the church. His primary teacher did a spotlight on him and some of the things she said was that he was a very caring, compassionate kid. She said that he always participates in class and has a love of the scriptures and the gospel. He told her that his favorite BOM story was Samuel the Lamanite and his favorite song is Scriptue Power.

There were 6 kids baptized and Brianna and I had to do the music for the program. Of course Brianna played the piano and I had to lead. Brianna was perfect, of course. I'm sure you have noticed that Kevin got the "devil horns" into many of the pictures of the day. It is really an improvement over what he usually does! Love him.............
Jacob got a set of scriptures for his day and even though there were cousins and friends playing all around, he sat down and started reading them! Grandma Tanner was not going to come because she felt she needed to stay with Grandpa, but after mustering up some tears and sounding really sad, I changed her mind. Thanks to Steven for checking in on Dad so Mom could be here, it was so great to have her here for this special day. Jacob is an incredible kid and we are so proud--he's a great example to us each and every day!
