So, 30 or so years ago I started playing the flute. I dropped out of band before high school because it wasn’t ‘cool’ to play a band instrument. Thankfully Brianna did not follow in her loser mother’s footsteps! Brianna is playing the very flute that my mom bought me oh so many years ago, and she’s playing it VERY well. She auditioned for 3 honor bands and was accepted in all of them! She is in the Gem Sate honor band, ICU honor band and All State honor band (I’m looking forward to scholarship $$$). We went to ISU this weekend to see her perform in the ISU honor band. She not only was one of the few Sophomores in the band, she was first chair for flutes!! Yes, I’m a proud mommy.
They were also having the Festival of Trees at the performing arts center so I got this picture of the kids. Nick is looking dapper as always. :)

Sounds like she's well on her way towards getting a music scholarship! Way to go Bri! We would have loved to have you guys over if we were still in Pocatello; we just missed you by a few weeks too!

Hey! Kadyn was at ISU doing that "thing" too! He played the trombone. Or, plays the trombone. Anyway, it's a good thing they didn't wuss out like their mothers, huh? Wish we could have heard them play but had other things going on and haven't figured out yet how to be two places at once!
I just realized that 3 of the 4 kids, minus Kadyn, from AF are in this picture. How weird is that?!?
